Terms of Service

Welcome to Menu Translate ("the App"). Please read carefully. Installing or using the App constitutes acceptance of all terms.

1. Service Description

The App provides menu OCR, translation, and ordering assistance. Recognition and translation are powered by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, etc.).

2. User Conduct

You agree:

Not to upload illegal, pornographic, violent, or otherwise prohibited content.
Not to use the App for any illegal activity.
Not to attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or exploit the App or its backend services.

3. Limitations

Recognition and translation results depend on third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, ambiguous, or wrong. Please verify in important situations.

The App is not liable for:

Order errors, allergic reactions, or billing disputes caused by misrecognition.
Third-party AI service rate limits, outages, changes, or termination.
Functionality unavailable due to network issues.

4. Free Quota and Paid Service

The App offers 5 free recognitions per user (lifetime cumulative). After the quota is used, you may subscribe to Pro for unlimited recognitions.

Pro plans (final prices shown in the App Store):

Monthly subscription: auto-renews monthly
Yearly subscription: auto-renews yearly
Lifetime: one-time payment, permanent Pro access

Auto-renewal terms:

Subscriptions renew automatically within 24 hours before the end of the current period unless cancelled in App Store settings.
Renewal price is determined by the App Store at the time of renewal.
You can cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. After cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period.
Day-by-day refunds are not supported; please follow Apple's App Store refund policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The App's code, design, and trademark belong to the developer. Dish name copyrights remain with the original restaurants.

6. Changes and Termination

These terms may be updated occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the App's release notes. You may uninstall the App at any time to terminate use.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.
